SUPPORT CLEAN WATER!
The Ogeechee River, a blackwater river, covers over 5,000 square miles and has many devotees who love its primitive qualities. Its tea stained water, intimate swamps, and bottomland hardwoods retain a pristine quality and provide food, water, and shelter for threatened plant and animal species. The Ogeechee is one of the few untamed major rivers in America. The Ogeechee River system also includes all of the coastal streams flowing out to Ossabaw Sound and St. Catherine’s sound. These coastal river systems provide beautiful areas for recreation, fishing, and our vital seafood industry.
